Your Impact:

In this role you will be the face of the AV Operations team. The Ops Manager has multiple direct reports, supporting over 1,500 events on-campus, as well as a handful of off-site events per year. The Ops Manager works closely with our Corporate Meetings & Events (CME) team and directly with customers to plan, coordinate and execute events taking place in one of 19 configurable event spaces across our campus in McLean, VA. This role is responsible for the oversight and service delivery of hybrid AV Operations for the enterprise, seamlessly executing events and continuously improving the employee experience.

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of experienced AV Operators at the senior, professional and associate level. Set annual objectives, provide ongoing feedback, complete annual performance reviews. Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Thoughtfully allocate team resources to best meet an ever-changing range of hybrid meetings and events. Manage weekly assignment schedules.
  • In coordination with the Media Services Director, Chief AV Engineer & Chief AV Technician, develop policies and evolve service offerings to continually align with the evolving needs of the enterprise.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with other internal teams involved with event support, including CME, Setup, Concierge, Catering, Facilities, Engineering, Corporate Communications & Creative.
  • Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Ensure all events are planned and executed in alignment with enterprise policies and standards including engaging with ethics and compliance as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field preferred, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the AV Industry, minimum 2+ years of experience managing AV service delivery on a corporate/higher ed campus or conference center/hotel environment.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), Certified Technology Specialist - Install (CTS-I), Certified Technology Specialist - Design (CTS-D), Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP), Certified Audio Engineer (CEA), Extron AV Associate, Crestron Technology Architect, Dante Certification
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule for occasional nights, travel and events

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $128,000 - $192,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
