In this position...
The Select Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for leading the Ford Pro relationship with small/medium commercial customers to grow the Ford Pro Business. The Select Account Manager will work directly with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on Sales Initiatives, Customer Conquest, and Competitive Price Allowances for Commercial Fleet Clients. The SAM will write and submit CPA proposals, meet competitive situations, grow customer base/sales, conquest new customers and service their customers (Small-Fleets, Commercial, and Fleet Management Companies) while interfacing with various field personnel. In addition, the SAM will be expected to help facilitate and sell the end-to-end Ford Pro Solution package, this includes telematics, essentials, charging, and EV with the Ford subject matter expert in the specific area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do...
- Manage Dealer & Leasing Company generated small fleet business.
- Responsible to inform and sell Ford Pro solutions to fleet customers with the goal of implementing new systems throughout our consumer base.
- Achieve objectives & key results with ICE / BEV vehicle sales, Charging, Telematics and Service solutions.
- Grow fleet sales from assigned account base of small commercial fleet customers through regular phone / email contact and occasional in person meetings to Corp offices.
- Conquest new customers within their assigned territory to grow the overall business.
- Develop written CPA offers as appropriate utilizing the online CPA systems and following up with accounts to ensure understanding and acceptance of offer.
- Utilize exiting and approved Competitive Price Allowance (CPA) budgets to meet competitive situations and promote purchase of company's products to assigned accounts.
- Understand of future Ford vehicle product offerings, and any/all future improvements to Ford Pro system solutions to better assist in the sales process.
- Setup discussions with end users and subject matter experts at Ford who will assist with the Ford Pro solution selling.
- Aid with product, distribution, administrative and payment related issues as necessary.
- Liaison with Fleet Management Company personnel to write CPA proposals and establish direct fleet customer interface.
- Provide superior customer sales and service to all accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equal work experience.
- 2+ year's progressive knowledge of dealership operations.
- 1+ year(s) sale experience.
- Must be located in SE Michigan.
Even better, you may have...
- Fleet experience is strongly desired.
- Experience handling escalated issues is an asset.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent customer relationship/interpersonal skills required to support direct customer contact.
- Sales experience preferred as well as data driven decision making.
- Should have strong Product/Company/industry knowledge as well as Ford systems knowledge.
- Well-rounded business acumen

This position is a salary grade 7.
