Agile Coach

The Agile Coach sits within the Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) and leads engineering teams to adopt the Connected Vehicle Software (CVS) organization agile framework and modern ways of working. This role will be central to enabling the engineering organization responsible for all software and electronics in all Ford vehicles as we build truly software defined vehicles.

In this role you will listen to understand the needs of the organization and then marry together what you hear, your knowledge, expert guidance and agile best practices to conduct timeboxed, outcomes-obsessed coaching engagement that increase organizational collaboration, velocity, and trust.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do...
- Contribute your extensive agile expertise to the CoE as we continuously refine our chosen agile framework and modern ways of working
- Work collaboratively across the CoE to design a portfolio of coaching engagement service offerings that can be repeatedly and consistently deployed to drive adoption of the framework and best practices
- Build strong relationships with the CVS engineering teams to ideate and identify where and how CoE services can add value
- Craft timeboxed, outcomes-obsessed coaching engagements that will increase organizational collaboration, velocity, and trust
- Define, track and report measurable outcomes for each coaching engagement aligned to our success measures of collaboration, velocity, trust, and CSAT
- Coach and mentor the CVS engineering community (as teams and as individuals) to increase agile acumen and adoption of an agile mindset and agile practices
- Streamline, implement and support continuous improvement of processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption of agile principles, techniques, and mindset
- Evangelize good agile hygiene in processes, systems, tools, organizational design, and ways of working
- Earn and maintain your status as the agile and modern ways of working subject matter expert through continuous learning and application of your knowledge to solve tough, complex issues
- Be a trusted advisor to senior engineering leaders as they continuously refine their organizations for the present and future
QUALIFICATIONS
You'll have...
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar roles leading agile transformations in complex enterprise environments
- Up-to-date certifications for agile methodologies (eg scrum, kanban, and SAFe)
Even better, you may have...
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and MBA
- Certification and experience implementing Lean Six Sigma
- Exceptional communication (oral & written), facilitation, team building, conflict resolution and collaboration skills in cross-functional, diverse environments
- Demonstrated history of driving agile transformation in an industrial or combined hardware and software environment
- Demonstrated history of nurturing stakeholder relationships and maintaining a pipeline of coaching engagement opportunities to ensure maximum impact from your limited time
- Experience implementing advanced agile approaches such as extreme programming (XP), paired programming, and the use of AI agents, copilots, and tools in software development
- Persuasive storytelling abilities enabling you to promote your ideas at the highest levels, gain alignment, generate excitement, and instigate momentum in complex matrixed environments
- A hyper collaborative mindset and ability to partner with teams and leaders regardless of level
- Tenacity, grit, and a persistent sense of urgency with a bias for action (even in ambiguous and fluid situations)

This position is a range of salary grades Salary grade 6 - Salary grade 8 .
