Senior People Operations Associate

The opportunity: 

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior People Operations Associate to join our dedicated People Team. If you enjoy working with people and have a passion for making HR processes run smoothly, this could be the perfect fit for you!

In this role, you’ll help keep our HR operations on track across our APAC offices by providing support to employees and managers. You’ll handle various employee transactions, ensure our data stays accurate, and help with different HR initiatives. Plus, you’ll have the chance to help us improve our HR policies and processes on a regional and global scale.

YOU WILL:

  • Mentoring Junior Associate, and driving and handling Tier 2 level employee transaction complex tasks from a People Operations perspective.
  • Data Management: Manage and maintain employee data in Workday, including data loads and Workday audits.
  • Employee Support: Act as a secondary point of contact for employee escalations, providing timely and helpful responses.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate, analyze, and improve Workday reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing HR processes and procedures, and contribute to the implementation of solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the broader People Team (regionally & globally) on various projects and initiatives, and provide thought partnership to our internal stakeholders (compensation, immigration, compliance, payroll, IT, recruiting, benefits) by becoming subject matter expertise on all people ops related matters, support people ops manager to manage external vendors and service providers.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain accurate employee documents, including offer letters, contracts, and other HR-related paperwork.
  • Payroll and Tax Return Preparation: Assist with payroll preparation by processing main cycle payroll, termination payments, leaves of absence (LOA), time off, and short-term sick leave.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations, with a focus on understanding compliance requirements within the APACregion.
  • Identify areas of improvement and automation opportunities, Communicate recommendations on initiatives and influence stakeholders through data and thoughtful interpretation of findings
  • Manager Support: Execute tasks and projects as directed by the People Operations Manager.

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • At least 5 years of experience as HR/People Operations Associate or HR Generalist role, preferably in a startup or rapid growth company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience processing a wide range of HR transactions.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices across the APAC region.
  • Experience with Workday HRIS is a must.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements, particularly within the APAC region.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of concurrent tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent drafting and policy creation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or G-Suite applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
  • Open minded, strong adaptive on change management.
