We are looking for a new Project Manager employee to be based in Warrington, UK.

Overview of the Role

Based in Warrington, this exciting role will enable you to draw upon your experience and capabilities in Project Management and make a difference to our business, helping it to achieve its strategic objectives. In this role you will be implementing best practice and driving supply chain excellence within the business across a diverse range of industry sectors - consumer electronic goods, energy, computing and enterprise, medical and retail.

Flex UK specialises in outsourced supply chain services to a range of business sectors and the Project Manager will be the primary lead in the engagement with our clients. They will oversee the development of the solution, managing and coordinating the resources in the delivery of the project, lead the set-up of its business systems and IT infrastructure, its staffing, and the governance of the project within budget and time-plan. The Project Manager will also manage the program during its launch and initial phase of stabilisation, handling the profitability, the service quality, safety and client relationship, before handover to an account manager.

This business Project Manager role will lead multi-functional project teams across a range of disciplines within the company's supply chain and logistics organisation. Areas would include finance; warehousing; freight and distribution; sales and e-commerce; customer service and contact centre; electronic product returns and repair operations; spare parts planning, purchasing and distribution; and B2C/B2B sales.

Since Flex is a global supplier and manages many of its accounts from the UK as a control tower with multiple European sites for its operational activity, some international travel may be required.

Experience/q ualification we are looking to add to the team:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project management
  • Project Management qualification e.g. PMI, Prince, MSP, Agile, APM Project, PFQ.
  • Proven experience of the whole project life-cycle management, incorporating significant IT implementation.
  • Demonstrate rigorous application of best practice governance tools combined with their application to complex projects.
  • Proven influencing and networking skills at a senior management level
  • Advanced capabilities in the use of MS Office tools and MS Project
  • Organised and able to work autonomously.
  • Experience in multicultural and large matrix organisation.
  • Proven analytical skills; ability to produce, interpret and work comfortably with management information in a KPI driven environment. Possessing a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading service, process and system improvements applying LEAN or equivalent methodology
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and/or customers)
  • Good commercial acumen with an understanding of delivering client satisfaction whilst maximizing business value.
  • Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Nice to have:
  • Experience in forward and reverse logistics and a service repair environment.
  • Experience in aftermarket and service parts logistics business
  • Experience is working with global consumer technology companies
What a typical day looks like :
  • Ensure full project life cycle delivery throughout all the key stages of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, Controlling and Closing.
  • Acting as key client liaison, lead the capture of Business Requirements and solution specifications, coordinate the development of the solution and drive the project team to deliver this to budget and within agreed time-plan.
  • Oversee the delivery of the IT systems and infrastructure by working with the company IT project team.
  • Act as the interim Key Account Manager/Program Manager throughout the project lifecycle stages and stabilisation phase: effectively as the main customer interface during the project phases, particularly at early requirements gathering stage where contractual and commercial negotiations may be necessary.
  • Provide senior steering committee reporting and Vice President stakeholder management, both within the Company and the client organisation.
  • Ensure adherence to Flex project management best practice and effective management of project critical path using appropriate resource planning methodologies.
  • Ensure project delivery within budgetary requirements, in accordance with financial compliance rules and in line with industry leading quality standards.
  • Maximise on the delivery of Lean-Six Sigma & Quality best practices to establish best-in-class status for the project.
  • Deliver detailed project plans to deadline and to the satisfaction of Flex management and client using tools such as MS Project, MS Teams, written reports and best-class PPT.
