To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an [Process and Technology Expert] located in [Jiading, Shanghai].

This position will be responsible for providing DFx related technical support to R&D and production to facilitate design for manufacturing in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Develop and implement cost effective, efficient production processes for the Introduction of New Product. Research, development and evaluate the new process for future power modules needs. Define Flex power modules process and technology roadmap.

What a typical day looks like :
  • Working with a matrixed, cross functional team of technical experts within Flex organization, extending and building new resources/ capabilities to incorporate into the Flex knowledge base.
  • Drive toward creative, robust, and effective solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Hold up engineering team with prototyping, product build, bring up, test, documentation, and successful release to manufacturing.
  • Contribute with a cross functional team to develop technically robust and effective solutions to a wide variety of design problems.
  • Manage design parameters and design tradeoff priorities in close coordination with other team members.
  • Help develop best practices, identify equipment, and material needs with members of the team.
  • Ability to resolve, define and design the system and subsystems approaches to meet project and program design goals, requirements and schedules.
  • Identify standard products and sub-blocks for inclusion into solution proposals.
  • Develop key relationships with internal design teams as well subcontractors to plan comprehensive product strategies based on future technologies.
  • Strives for improvements and efficiencies in Engineering area.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technical development and trends in the field of expertise.
  • Be actively involved in new platform product designing phase to providing DFx related technical proposal.
  • Drive and performed DFM activities to facilitate manufacturing in prototype and pre-series test run even further mass production.
  • Early involved in new components designing and final verification.
  • Support engineering team to perform professional root cause analyzing.
  • Provide consultation from technical point of view to high-level decision makers and other Flex organizations based on his/her competence and responsibilities.
The experience we're looking to add to our team :
  • University degree or above in areas of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc.
  • Profound knowledge and skills on Dfx related production and practice of Power Modules as per process, productivity, Industrial Engineering or Lean Production.
  • Be able to play a leading role in a team, showing promising characters of leadership, creativeness, and persuading ability.
  • Independent self-motivated and well organized with analytical mind.
  • Good communication skill and project management skill.
  • Fluent English in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
  • Several years working experience as DFM engineer or Mechanical designer in electronics manufacturing is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Flex power modules products and processes is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
