Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Trainer located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Operations Training Supervisor , the Operations Trainer role is responsible for creating and assessing standard work instructions in the production area, and coaching, assisting, and training the employees in their job responsibilities.
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday.
What a typical day looks like
- Support the site in meeting the competence, training, and awareness requirements in compliance with ISO 9001
- May deliver new hire training and other training programs to assigned client groups.
- Conducts classroom and On-the-Job Training for operators and technicians when the need arises.
- Helps supervisors to ensures all operators are trained and certified based on process requirement in a timely manner.
- Monitors and follows-up certification and re-certification activities.
- Ensures training system and standard compliance.
- Participates and performs process and system related training.
- Prepares training packages when required by the respective projects.
- Tracks and reports information by reviewing employee training records for current licenses, certificates, and renewals, maintaining records of mandatory training, maintaining up to date training files on all safety sensitive personnel, checking all files for up to date medical, and advising employees as needed for training purposes.
- Industrial equipment/machines, Solder related tools, inspection of in-process product and finished goods
- High School diploma, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.
- 3-5 year of related experience in a similar role.
- Basic Microsoft office skills (Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Handle basic functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
- Read and comprehend basic instructions.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads, manufacturing support and supervisors of the organization.
- Problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
