You are an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record of overseeing large engineering teams and guiding them to achieve outstanding results, You have a  strong track record of driving innovation and high-impact results at scale. With a deep technical background, you can architect complex systems while building, mentoring, and inspiring world-class teams. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing technical excellence with business strategy to ensure engineering aligns with company goals. Experienced in leading teams through transformations, with demonstrated experience of collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and business teams to deliver customer-centric products, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity. A technologist at heart, you deeply understand products and customer needs, recognizing the importance of clear communication, decision-making, and alignment within tech teams and the organization. Comfortable with ambiguity, you solve open-ended problems by simplifying complexity, identifying blockers, and adding structure when needed to drive success. Passionate about sharing your expertise, you can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and excel in empowering your managers to take ownership of their teams to create a demanding and supportive environment.

What To Expect In This Position

  • Provide leadership and oversight to engineering managers and technical leads, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a cohesive and high-performing engineering culture.
  • Lead and manage the products and data engineering teams, focusing on strategic alignment, operational excellence, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability that can inspire your team
  • Develop and implement the technical vision and engineering roadmap in alignment with company priorities and business objectives, acting as a strategic partner to the CTO and broader executive team to balance long-term engineering development efforts with more immediate product needs.
  • Oversee the full-cycle development process, from planning through release, for new features and existing products, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and driving quality, security, and scalability initiatives across engineering projects. 
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, to ensure quality delivery of application services and products that align with customer and market needs
  • Champion an innovative, inclusive culture, encouraging experimentation, emerging technology adoption, and promoting the brand within the engineering community 
  • Recruit, develop, lead, and mentor engineering talent to build a diverse, high-performing team, and ensure they have clear pathways for professional development and career growth
  • Serve as a technical expert, handling escalated issues and providing hands-on coding expertise when needed
  • Identify and implement process improvements to continuously optimize engineering efficiency and output quality, creating and maintaining efficient development processes and supporting metrics.
  • Communicate technical insights and strategies effectively to stakeholders, translating them into impactful business outcomes.

What Sets You Apart

  • 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, leading technical initiatives and managing engineering teams in dynamic settings, preferably in SaaS environments.
  • Strong technical foundation, with deep knowledge of modern full-stack development practices, architectures, and tools, including JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Node.js, React.js), cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS), and data services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and engage in cross-functional collaboration while fostering collaboration between engineering and other teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management, strategic planning, and implementing engineering best practices
  • Track record of successful leadership successfully executing projects and proactively managing change in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a passion for creating an inclusive and innovative performance driven engineering culture.
