Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Senior Director, Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Programs develops and directs the strategic planning process and governance for multiple programs ensuring alignment with the Bank's goals, objectives, and expectations. Implements and executes strategies to manage operations and reporting, improve governance and processes, and foster key relationships. This position will influence and provide leadership on change management strategies and strategic direction for the Department. Delivers tactical insight executive management and other key stakeholders through project portfolio analysis, metrics, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy - Builds a strategic planning framework across lines of business, working with cross functional lines of business and teams across the bank to understand and capture key strategic priorities. Implements and executes strategies that drive projects, programs, and strategic initiatives, to align tactics with wider Bank goals and objectives. Oversees program efforts. Builds, maintains, and collaborates with senior and executive leadership, associates, and vendors to efficiently coordinate program/project activities, ensure cohesion with other organizational work efforts, requirements, and strategies. Provides status updates on major initiatives or high-profile issues as needed.
  • Relationship Development - Develops influential and collaborative relationships with business leaders and other key stakeholders in support of program office success.
  • Risk Management - Manages and mitigates risk exposure throughout Bank operations. Develops programs and facilitates the implementation of tools and techniques that enhance safety, service quality and operational cost-effectiveness. Develops and implements corporate policies and procedures that mitigate risk exposures. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provides guidance on complex, escalated issues.
  • Reporting - Develops methods of measuring project and portfolio performance. Conveys program updates and performance results to the appropriate parties through metrics, reports, presentations, and other communications.
  • Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of project office associates. Works to develop and retain project office leadership by providing professional development opportunities aligned with individual development plans.
  • Financial Planning - Manages and prepares budget projections for the department and maintains regular financial reporting for executive management. Ensure optimal financial solutions and identifies strategic opportunities to reduce operating costs and presents business cases in support of savings investments.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Project Management

OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Project Management

Preferred Areas of Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience in Corporate Real Estate
  • 10+ years of leadership experience including talent development and coaching of geographically dispersed teams with varying experience levels
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive strategic direction
  • Proven experience leading through change
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Business acumen / knowledge with the ability to navigate complex organizations
  • Advanced analytical skills including building and implementing reporting practices
  • Computer skills - Advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience with Corporate Real Estate within financial services is preferred
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and associated integrations/conversions
