Finastra, a leading provider of software solutions and services that facilitate payments, settlement and cash management by enabling businesses and their banks to electronically manage cash, process payments and transfer funds, is looking for a Senior Technical Analyst with minimum 7 years of experience with Solaris/AIX/Linux, WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss and various middleware infrastructure technologies.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Evaluate, design, document, install, test, implement, monitors and maintain complex UNIX/Linux based applications such as GPP, GCP, Total Payments, and infrastructure solutions
- Configuring and support of production, testing and development environments (Solaris/AIX/Linux)
- Troubleshooting, Preparing, updating, and maintaining technical documentation and RFPs
- Capacity planning, DR configuration, and High Availability implementation and testing
- Evaluate, recommend, installs and configure tools for event monitoring, capacity planning, performance monitoring on UNIX/Linux systems providing automated 24/7 production application and system monitoring
- Conduct technical training

Required Experience:
- Relevant academic background
- Good understanding of GPP SP & Total Payments deployment architecture
- Minimum 7 years of technical work experience on UNIX/Linux/Cloud environment. This could include development, technical QA, and application implementation/support
- Systems troubleshooting and resolution of system and application problems
- Excellent customer facing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with the following:
- J2EE Application Servers - WebSphere / WebLogic / JBoss (including performance benchmark analysis)
- Microsoft Azure or Amazon EC2
- Hazelcast
- Oracle DB (including performance benchmark analysis)
- IBM MQ
- UNIX Shell or Perl Scripting and/or Web Application Server scripting
- Elastic Search
- Kafka (a plus)
- Understanding of UNIX high availability and clustering
- 50% overlap with US hours to support offshore client, if based outside of USA.
- Extensive travel might be required
