Job Description:

Our mission in Fidelity Health is to drive industry leading, digital solutions to help employers, individuals and their families manage their health care needs.

In this role you will lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and managing the configuration systems that power our health care offering. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software engineering principles, particularly in system configuration, automation, and integration. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record in scaling teams, optimizing processes, and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

You will be responsible for the execution of our configuration strategy as we service our legacy platform, HOBS, while simultaneously migrating, implementing, and servicing clients on the modernized H&W platform, Fidelity Health Benefits (FHB). You will report directly to the Head of Client Delivery.

The Expertise & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience leading large-scale projects in a complex, fast-paced environment with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on system configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of system configuration management tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with automation frameworks, cloud platforms, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.
  • A strategic mindset to ensure our products, processes and approach are industry leading and meet market expectations.
  • Health and Welfare Domain Expertise preferred.
  • Self-awareness of own style and leadership approach, especially in a cross-cultural environment, adapts behaviors as necessary to maintain relationships.
  • Embodiment of the Fidelity leadership principles.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, DevOps, and QA, to ensure alignment and integration of system configuration with overall product architecture.
  • Drive automation of system configuration tasks to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
  • Act as a key point of contact for system configuration issues, providing guidance and support to internal teams and customers.
  • You will drive a consistent track record of results with measurable KPIs and a strong partnership with Health Care Operations to ensure a smooth, issue free launch of all projects.
