Vice President, Platform sales, LAC

The Services organization is a key driver of growth for Mastercard providing cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Bringing together our unique and proprietary data, technology, insights and expertise into a single organization, Services relentlessly focuses on meeting the needs of our customers, acting as a critical part of our business growth. Representing over a third of Mastercard revenues, Services is a key differentiator for Mastercard.
The Platform Sales teams are responsible for sales activities across Mastercard specialist sales platforms and products to drive business across specializations and offerings. We are seeking a Vice President of Platform Sales for Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) to act as a central hub for platform sales activities within the region. The role will act as the central coordination point for activities across platforms and acquisition sales teams and be responsible for identifying opportunities to cross sell. The role will report directly to the Regional Business Development Lead, with close coordination with the Global Specialized Platform Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enable and coordinate Platform Sales efforts across the region.
• Manage a team with P&L responsibility with focus on achieving revenue target.
• Acts as main point of contact and key conduit amongst specialist platform sales and acquisition sales teams
• Serves as connection point across global BD teams to incorporate holistic view of offerings available to customers and coordinate sales efforts
• Partners with BD teams to embed various specialized platforms into account strategies
• Coordinates across platforms to identify cross sell opportunities where possible
• Accelerate and optimize platform sales within the region
• Builds relationships with key customers while remaining in close alignment with the BD operating model
• Be a thought leader and subject matter expert for both Mastercard and our customers
• Manage a geographically diverse team. Recruit, retain and develop high-performing team

• Creative problem-solving skills with proven strength in navigating complex organizational matrix
• Ability to connect the dots across sales teams and platforms, to optimize sales efforts within a region. Ability to work across multiple teams to coordinate sales efforts
• Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills to identify cross sell opportunities, overcome objections, and close revenue-generating initiatives
• Strong networking and relationship building skills. Capability to navigate across the internal Mastercard organization to accelerate collaboration and influence across matrixed reporting structures
• Ability to quickly learn multiple, complex, specialized platform offerings
• Demonstrates the ability to develop "out of the box" solutions and to create support for initiatives across organization and geographies
• Ability to translate Global strategies into the market
• Lead complex, international, cross-functional programs
• Ability to influence and motivate others to achieve objectives of the business across the region
• Growth mindset, comfortable navigating in rapidly changing environments. Experience working in an international and matrix environment is highly desirable
• Experience managing P&Ls to successful outcomes including navigating market and regulatory dynamics
• Strong people leader with the ability to build highly motivated and successful teams.
• Strong written, presentation and verbal communications skills. Acts with a sense of urgency and strong track record on delivering results
• Languages: English. Desirable: Spanish and/or Portuguese
