Vice President, Alternative Investor Operations & Oversight
The Vice President, Alternative Investor Operations & Oversight Lead will collaborate cross functionally to establish supporting infrastructure and oversight framework for alternative fund investors. The candidate will be responsible for facilitating the end-to- end process for side letters and SMA agreements, from tactical execution to strategic design and implementation and for various operations and oversight responsibilities across the alternative fund universe at Fidelity.
The successful candidate will:
- Identify, develop, and promote repeatable and scalable processes and frameworks needed to support alternative investments and investor agreements
- Have significant exposure to senior management and must possess a high degree of executive presence and professionalism.
- Successfully navigate the organization, build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, and develop a strong professional network.
- Quickly learn complex business processes associated with starting new alternative investment and products
- Be skilled in synthesizing complex ideas into easy-to-understand materials, including delivery of key concepts to a cross functional audience with varying seniority levels
- Need to be comfortable taking direction from multiple leaders, open to constructive feedback, and working independently and with ambiguity.
- Define, prepare and detail the specification requirements to be used by the technical team to build an application for end to end management of side letter process.

The Expertise and Skills you Bring
- 10 plus years work experience in financial services organizations
- Experience with fund legal documents; legal background is a plus
- Experience working with placement agents and institutional investors is a plus
- Strong understanding of the asset management industry (working knowledge of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, real assets, direct lending, and structured products is a plus)
- Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence
- Proven track record when working with uncertainty and successfully delivering large, complex, and strategic initiatives
- Outstanding collaboration skills and ability to partner and effectively influence across a variety of senior stakeholders
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are musts.
- Applicants must have exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with contract process, from negotiation/initiation to document storage and term tracking
- Ability to promote visibility and transparency between all resources involved in the contract process
