- This is an opportunity for a dynamic people leader who is passionate about client focus and enjoys team collaboration to deliver outstanding services and solutions. The team handles data privacy, security, policies, catalog, and governance across our Retail business (Brokerage and Wealth units). Key data sets include 100s TB of data, 5000+ business users, and 15+ business applications. The Team Leader will guide a dedicated team to strategize, prioritize, and build governance solutions for the retail business, providing services on-demand. Effective collaboration with customers without direct authority is crucial. The role requires close coordination with the Platform team leader to stay aligned on goals and ensure progress.
The Expertise You Have
- As a Data Governance Team Leader for Data Quality & Governance, you will collaborate with Data Stewards and various partners (including Legal, Risk & Compliance, Enterprise, and other Business Unit Data Governance leads) within Fidelity to build and modernize our platform governance offering to cloud-based infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud-native services and commercial third-party offerings for data catalog and governance solutions is essential. The ability to lead and prioritize feature development, work across groups to build consensus, and collaborate with the engineering team to bring your vision to fruition is also crucial.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in business analytics, computer science, or a related field with proven track record in data management and governance
- Proven track record of customer-focused engagement and teamwork with a strategic approach and ability advocate for the adoption of tools and methods that improve the usability and value of data
- Experience leading governance with data management efforts that directly involve using Alation and Collibra; proven understanding tending of BigID, OneTrust and TrustArc will be highly effective.
- Working knowledge and understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other customer protection and privacy policies applicable in the financial or e-commerce industries
- Experience and desire to work with data owners and stewards to facilitate data quality improvement initiatives, as well as understanding of how data lineage, taxonomies and business glossaries should be used at an enterprise scale.
- Experience with cloud computing specifically Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, and GLUE.

We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
