Transforms support processes using DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principle and best practices. Leverages in-depth skills working with various teams, business partners, building and supporting internal applications on and off premises. Works with engineering and support teams located locally and abroad and provides direct, on-keyboard impact. Evolves and sustains an innovative agile culture. Builds, operates, and continuously improves the application services that customer facing representatives use daily.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gathers and analyzes metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.

- Partners with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- Participates in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Creates sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.
- Builds software and systems to manage infrastructure and customer-facing applications through automation.
- Partners closely with development teams to design, build, deploy, support, and monitor new and existing services.
- Measures and optimizes service performance and availability.
- Capacity planning and management.
- Exploring and evaluating new technologies and solutions to push our capabilities forward.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) configuring and building Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation pipelines to onboard and support Web applications using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD/Kubernetes.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or closely related occupation) configuring and building Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation pipelines to onboard and support Web applications using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD/Kubernetes.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") implementing and managing scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions, utilizing AWS CloudFormation or Terraform; Orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes or Docker; and performing release management according to DevOps model using Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory, Ansible, or AWS functionalities.
- DE designing and maintaining automated monitoring and alerting systems using Grafana, Gitlab, or CI/CD; installing and integrating Web Agents NGINX, and application servers (Tomcat) using Linux Scripts; configuring, debugging, and managing Web applications, services, and Java-based systems; building error locating monitors, using Datadog, Splunk, or ELK; and ensuring early detection of issues and proactive resolution to minimize downtime using AWS CloudWatch.
- DE scripting and programming with a focus on automating repetitive tasks and streamlining operational workflows using Python or Bash.
- DE utilizing automation tools and implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes with tools - AWS ECS, EKS, AKS, UDeploy or Gitlab CI/CD- ensuring efficient and error-free releases.
