Develops innovated Proofs of Concepts (POCs) using blockchain, Augmented Reality vs Virtual Reality (AR/VR), video gaming, and immersive technology. Tests and deploys code for sophisticated investment management products, and software applications into Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. Delivers software using Agile methodology, Scrum-based development practices, and Agile-focused tools -- Jira. Builds, crafts, and reviews code using Java Stack, Spring Framework, Hypertext Markup Language revision 5 (HTML5), Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (RESTful APIs), and Web containers. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
- Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
- Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
- Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web Applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases in financial services environment using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web Applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases in financial services environment using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and developing responsive client-side applications, using JavaScript MVC frameworks, client-side technologies (HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Syntactically Awesome Style Sheets (SASS)), Web security principles [Cross-site Scripting (XSS)/Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)], and Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- DE configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and test automation, using Jenkins, Sonar, Ant, Maven, Artifactory, AWS, and Azure; scripting automated application deployment flows, using Git Stash, Jenkins, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Elastic Container Services (ECS), and Splunk; performing code security scanning, and addressing security vulnerabilities in applications using Fortify and SONAR; and preparing test scripts for application performance testing using JMeter.
- DE migrating legacy applications to modern Cloud ready microservice based, highly scalable, and configurable architecture with User Interfaces (UIs) driven by Single Page Architecture (SPA) and backend engines developed in Spring Boot and Java 8; and performing data modelling of complex applications, using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
