Principal Database Administrator, Workplace Investing
Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) is actively seeking an experienced Database Administrator to help us drive strategic database initiatives in support of our business initiatives both in the US and globally. This is a highly visible, dynamic role that will position us for the growth and scale we need as our businesses pro-actively adjust to the challenges in a highly competitive market.
This role will be filled in Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH.
The Expertise We're Looking For
- 10+ plus years performing Oracle 19c and 12g administration (SQL Server a plus)
- Expertise in Performance tuning, scripting and automation
- Expertise in Golden Gate replication on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- Working hands-on knowledge/support of Postgres, Yugabyte, Aerospike, SQL MI, SnowFlake a plus
- Significant background in solving complex technology challenges
- A strong background working in large-scale software projects
- Knowledge and expertise in cloud, hybrid cloud technology would be a real plus

The Purpose of Your Role
As a Principal Database Administrator, you will provide technical vision and support over critical projects as part of our strategy to expand our database service offerings. You will be part of a broader team that maintains our overall technical strategy and integrated roadmap.
The Skills You Bring
- Expertise analyzing, troubleshooting and performance tuning databases and sql queries
- Expertise with Oracle Golden Gate, database replication and data movement strategies & tools
- Performing design evaluations/ recommendations for database migration strategies to the cloud
- Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to operationalize solutions and ideas into standard operating procedures (SOP)
