Director - Full Stack Engineering (Options Overlay)

Location: BOS

Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) is looking for a Director - Full Stack Engineering (Options Overlay), to join a full stack dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of complex financial products, leveraging your expertise in derivatives and software engineering. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for setting technical direction and being a subject matter expert in the new Options Overlay product being built.

You will lead multiple squads responsible for building a brand-new platform that will enable us to launch a new Options Overlay Product (Liquid Alts) within FAMS. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something special from the ground up. FAMS is an exciting growth area for Fidelity under the Investment Frontier Neighborhood (IFN), and you will work on broadening the portfolio of capabilities within the new Liquid Alts product that employs several different Market Instruments including Derivatives, Equities.

The Expertise We are Looking For

  • You care deeply about doing excellent work with excellent people.


  • You have a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent and you want to learn more.


  • A minimum of 10+ years of software engineering experience.


  • Perform coding and development as needed and also Provide technical and strategic leadership to a team of software engineers focused on developing and deploying overlay strategies.


  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.


  • Ability to set ambitious standards in applying practices across the squad in areas such as Unit testing, Automation, ATDD, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews.


  • You have extensive experience in leading the development of enterprise quality platforms using Angular / Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services / Oracle SQL & PLSQL and deep familiarity in at least one other.


  • Strong inclination towards Quality centric platform engineering.


  • Deep understanding of Cloud Technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Kubernetes would be an advantage.


  • Ability to work on complex business and technical domain, Investment Management/ Financial Business Domain would be beneficial.


  • You are currently working towards CFA
