Director - Risk Management and Insurance Industry Analysis
Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA) is looking for a Director to help conduct due diligence and access life insurance and annuity counterparties. Join a diverse team that builds, promotes, and supports Fidelity's outstanding experience.
The Role
- Conduct research on and monitor creditworthiness/financial strength of existing and potential insurance counterparties in accordance with internal, proprietary standards.
- Analyze and assess insurer financial statements, investment portfolios, insurance liability profile, strength of risk management and controls, and commitment to protection of policyholders.
- Play a key role in preparing for and participating in due diligence sessions with C suite leaders of industry leading insurance companies.
- Understand the nature and history of Fidelity's business with each counterparty.
- Keep track of industry news as well as macroeconomic trends and regulations that may impact the insurance industry.
- Present and make recommendations to FIA senior leadership on a periodic basis.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelors degree required
- Actuary- Associate in the Society of Actuaries (ASA)/ Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), MBA, CFA or CPA preferred
- 3+ years of proven insurance industry experience
- Familiarity with statutory and GAAP financial statements
- Knowledge of life insurance and annuity products
- Experience with data analysis and preparing presentations
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to all organizational levels
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships as you work collaboratively across teams

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture.
