The Expertise You Have

  • Education - BS or MS required.
  • 10+ years of experience working with Data and Databases
  • Experience architecting large complex systems with high volume and high-performance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Enterprise Architects across business units to create one Fidelity Architecture Strategy
  • Work with Fidelity Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure safe and secure treatment of our enterprise, client, and customer data in public cloud
  • Have a good understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts and experience with Multi-Tier Architecture designs
  • Hand-On Experience with AWS is highly desired

The Skills You Bring

  • Ability to formulate Data Strategy, Conceptual Architecture, Business Architecture and work with development teams to execute the strategy
  • Excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills are a must for decomposing complicated tech stacks
  • Excellent understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies and strong understanding of event driven architecture
  • Understanding of Cloud Database & agnostic technologies like Yugabyte, CockroackDB is a plus
  • Experience OR Understanding of GraphQL highly desired
  • Experience with complex migration, refactoring and decommission projects is highly desired
  • Experience in various Data Access patterns & Data Abstraction is required
  • Experience and knowledge on Data Modelling is highly desired and the ability to work with the Data Modelling teams
  • Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, Spark a plus
  • Experience with data management practice including data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality
  • Understanding of traditional RDBMS technologies like Oracle, Sybase ASE, Postgres is a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
