Job Title: Director, Data Architecture - Fixed Income, High Income, & Alternatives Asset Management
Location: Merrimack, NH

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Architect to join Asset Management Technology's Architecture group supporting our Fixed Income and High Income & Alternatives business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fixed income, high income, and alternatives markets, deep technical skills, and a passion for using data to drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust data architecture solutions that support the asset management business.
• Design ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data integration and transformation.

• Devise scalable data access strategies for applications and services.
• Optimize our transactional, operational, and analytical data environments using Fidelity-preferred technologies.
• Collaborate with business partners and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support for data-related projects and initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities.
• Collaborate with architecture communities across Asset Management and in cross business unit working teams at the enterprise level.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Depth of knowledge in architecture and an ability to translate business objectives into technology solutions. Experience in a wide array of architecture patterns including architecting highly performant systems, event-driven architectures, APIs, data architecture and security architectures. Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, and the cloud platforms, especially AWS is desired.
• Passionate about technology and its application to solve intricate problems in areas such as investment management, compliance, and risk
• Demonstrated ability in defining new and/or evolving existing data strategies; aligning with enterprise direction, collaborating with, and influencing technology partners to adopt and implement accordingly
• Desire for working with leading cloud-based data technologies, providing innovative and well architected solutions
• Business and technical curiosity, working with others to foster ideas and produce creative solutions to difficult problems while making smart choices balancing design and delivery.
• Proficiency at understanding enterprise data architecture concepts, master data management, data modeling and design techniques.
• Significant experience working in complex data environments in an engineering, design, and architecture capacity; including enterprise warehouses, marts, operational stores and data lakes
• Experience in collaborating with data engineering & database administrators
• Experienced with cloud deployment practices and patterns, building data applications that leverage cloud native technologies
• Well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices.
• Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partnering with engineering, and product teams to deliver scalable robust data solutions.
• Expert knowledge and experience in Oracle, PL/SQL and/or other relational database platforms.
• Hands on experience Snowflake, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL NoSQL platforms.
• Solid experience in driving Automation, Data Quality Security and Governance practices.
• Current on event processing, Data API and recent emerging data technologies.
• Exposure to Python, Data Science and Machine Learning methodologies desired.
• A strong influencer who can integrate effectively into the culture, combining facilitation skills with a results orientation to deliver excellence and execution.
• Demonstrated organizational savvy and maturity, for working effectively across different organizational units and business groups.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
