Job Title Director, Competitive Insights
The Role
As part of the WI Competitive Intelligence and Market Insights Center of Excellence, this individual will be leading research and developing external industry perspective and insights which will advise Workplace Investing's strategic priorities and help Fidelity compete in the marketplace. The role will be leading research and analysis of products, markets, business strategy or industry trends that affect all aspects of Fidelity's Workplace business. The role will contribute to WI's success by leading the execution of critical programs and the delivery of actionable insights to key business leaders, distribution partners, product teams and other internal and external clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Successful candidates will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills and be capable of turning data into insights:
- Research, data, and analytics experience, 8 years minimum
- Knowledgeable and experienced with market and competitive research approaches, sources, and techniques
- Ability to represent large complex problems and solutions at the right level for senior leader consumption and decision making
- Ability to lead key research programs/project work to identify and assess strategic and competitive opportunities and risk; includes managing program budget and vendor relations
- Demonstrated experience leading insight development and delivery of implications for the business (a "point of view" or "so what" - what does it mean for Fidelity)
- Ability to develop and own relationships with key business partners and external vendors including, sales, relationship management and product owners
- Strong understanding of the Workplace Solution business
- Demonstrated experience managing large data sets
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills and comfort addressing/influencing leaders and teams
The Team
The Director will be a key leader on the Competitive Insight COE and will both own the execution of research programs and develop subject matter expertise in specific coverage areas to inform strategic decisions. The individual will not only manage the success of individual listening posts/coverage areas, but also contribute to the broader team initiatives and the overall development of actionable WI insights. The WI landscape is hyper-competitive, and we play a key role in helping differentiate Fidelity from the competition and make informed strategic decisions. We are part of a broader WI Research, Insights & Thought Leadership group under Workplace Inclusion, Insights and Marketing that is committed to understanding the voice of our customers and the market.
