    THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

    The Finance Technology - SDET - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    Fannie Mae seeks Software Developer Engineer in Test - Reston, VA

    • Develop quality test automation solutions for performance testing.
    • Coordinate engineering and product teams to design automated test methodologies.
    • Perform end to end automation testing.
    • Review and implement product scalability, reliability, consistency, and performance.
    • Collaborate with customers to gather and evaluate business requirements to formulate Big Data implementation plans.
    • Build Big Data solutions using highly scalable infrastructure environments such as AWS including S3, Dynamo DB, EMR, Step functions, Lambda functions.
    • Work on on-premise servers (Linux operating system) and Cloud servers (AWS CLI or the command line interface along with the UI/console) and established connection between them for data exchange purposes.
    • Automate extraction and ingestion process for the production environments using job schedulers such as AutoSys.
    • Prepare unit test plan and unit test cases for software/application development.
    • Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices in testing methodologies and Big Data.

    This is a hybrid (work in office and remotely) position.

    Qualifications

    THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

    Req'd:

    Master's in Computer Science or Information Systems plus three years of experience as data engineer using AWS (S3, Dynamo DB, EMR, Step functions, Lambda, RDS, Batch), Big Data Hadoop cluster (HDFS, Yarn, Hive, MapReduce), Webservices, APIs, JSON, Python, SQL, Selenium, and Cucumber.
