THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Director to join the Sportsbook Growth & Commercial Transformation team. The Sportsbook Growth & Commercial Transformation team serves as a thought leader to the Sportsbook leadership team and works on critical strategic initiatives that raise the bar for customers and the sports betting category. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team with significant exposure across the FanDuel Group business and deliver real business impact.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Partner with Sportsbook leadership team to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives and opportunities facing the business
- Work with the Senior Director of Growth & Transformation to develop a framework and evaluate Transformational initiatives
- Develop a deep understanding of FanDuel's business and competitive positioning as well as the sports wagering landscape to inform recommendations & implement them
- Manage complex, cross-functional projects independently, including assembling and leading multi-disciplinary teams that deliver tangible growth for the Sportsbook business
- Bring fresh thinking and ideas from adjacent categories to unlock latent growth within the Sportsbook category.
- Liaise with global Flutter partners in UK&I, Australia, and beyond to identify opportunities to leverage best practices and drive new growth vectors for FanDuel.
- Examples projects could include:
- Supporting the development & delivery of new personalization engine for Sportsbook customers
- Develop programs to leverage FanDuel's scale advantage to create new business models
- Deliver cross-functional strategy projects, including innovation and white space thinking
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, internal strategy or business/corporate development at a sports, media or tech company preferred
- 3 +years management experience
- Strategic Mind-set: takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications
- Ability to take broad direction, use initiative, and translate that into well-researched, actionable output
- Hands-on experience working autonomously to deliver robust business cases, which draw on a mix of hard data and sensible assumptions. Strong numerical proficiency and analytical capability
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration within large organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills; skilled at influencing and building relationships across the organization at all levels, including with senior leadership
- Ability and desire to dive in and get your hands dirty with analysis. In this role, you will be required to both lead team projects and be an individual contributor and drive projects to completion
- Prior knowledge and interest of sports and technology industries are preferred; ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of the industry and company will be critical to success
- Demonstrable history of operating in organizations with rapidly evolving scope and complexity

The applicable salary range for this position is $144,000 - $210,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws
