Job Title: CE Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical
Location: Onsite, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192
Pay Range: $35/hr. - $43/hr.
Contract Duration: 6 - 18 months
Night Shift A: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue); rotating shifts, and varying 3, 4, or 5-day workweeks structures
OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification (Mandatory).
The CE Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical infrastructure systems within a high-availability environment. The role requires hands-on experience with facility mechanical systems, a strong understanding of standard operating procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities:
• Perform all tasks outlined in the CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 role descriptions.
• Develop and execute the Chiller Method of Procedure (MOP) when the system is operating at "N" level redundancy.
• Develop and execute Chilled Water Pump MOP when the system is operating at "N" level redundancy.
• Develop and execute Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH) MOP when the system is operating at "N" level redundancy.
• Monitor and manage Building Management Systems (EPMS) to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to maintain critical infrastructure reliability.
• Support and implement maintenance activities on mechanical systems following best practices and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and controls engineers, to ensure seamless facility operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system performance, maintenance activities, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification (Mandatory).
• 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center environments.
• Experience with electrical systems in a high-availability assembly, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or related fields.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying workweek structures (3, 4, or 5-day workweeks).
Preferred Qualifications:
• EPA Refrigerant License.
• Experience with chiller systems, chilled water pumps, and CRAH units in mission-critical environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in mechanical system operations.
Work Environment:
• The role involves working in a mission-critical facility, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
• Candidates must be comfortable working in high-temperature or low-temperature environments as necessary.
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
