Role Summary:

We're currently looking for a Controllership Analyst to join the Global Finance Services Team based in Kuala Lumpur and report directly to Assistant Regional Financial Controller, APAC and cover the scope for APAC Market.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure all entities within the market are compliant from a statutory and reporting perspective within the specified deadlines, can add value to the business from a controllership perspective and sustain strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Stakeholders, Finance community and other parts of the Regional and Global business.

What You'll Do:

  • Support most aspects of financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reporting (for balance sheet, CAPEX and cash flow) to meet monthly, quarterly and annual global deadlines for month end closing while maintaining the compliance to accounting policies
  • Work together with Market FC and Regional Controllership to prepare annual budget (for CAPEX and cashflow) that drive next financial year performance
  • Assist the monthly forecast and variance analysis (for balance sheet, CAPEX and cashflow)
  • Assist in the preparation of GST/VAT returns
  • Provide support to controllers in completion external statutory audit within deadlines
  • Participate the process standardisation and optimisation of reporting opportunities and deliver ways to simplify the analysis and reporting processes in order to create informative, value-adding outputs
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years working experience preferably in audit or in Accounting, Finance or Finance/Business role and related degree/qualification
  • Experience with financial management information principles and terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrix organisation
  • Knowledge of technical accounting - e.g. revenue recognition, capex.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Strong Excel and data manipulation skills;
