We are seeking a highly skilled Identity and Access Management (IAM) Platform/Solution Engineer to provide interim support and hands-on technical expertise for the management and optimization of our IAM platforms while we backfill a full-time position. The Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operations and support of key IAM systems, ensuring they function effectively and securely to meet the organization’s business and security needs.

The Engineer will manage IAM platforms, including Okta, Delinea (formerly Thycotic), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Duo, and Active Directory. This role demands deep technical expertise and practical experience in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing IAM solutions. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter capable of operating independently, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing IAM best practices in a fast-paced environment.

About Our Customer

The American memorabilia manufacturer is primarily known for producing yearbooks and class rings for high schools and colleges. The company also produced photobook products for Disney’s PhotoPass photography service at theme parks and resorts. In addition to its headquarters near Minneapolis and operational offices in Owatonna, Minnesota, the customer has facilities throughout the United States.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on technical experience in IAM platform management, specifically with Okta, Delinea, Duo, and Active Directory
  • Strong expertise in configuring and maintaining SSO and MFA solutions
  • Proficiency in integrating IAM platforms with cloud and on-premises applications
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for IAM-related issues
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for managing IAM configurations and processes

Nice to Have

  • Okta Certified Professional
  • Delinea Certified Professional
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant IAM certifications

Upper-Intermediate

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary technical engineer managing day-to-day operations of IAM platforms, including Okta, Delinea, Duo, and Active Directory
  • Monitor and maintain the IAM infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
  • Configure and support SSO integrations and MFA policies across various applications and platforms
  • Work with IAM security analysts that manage user provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Support Active Directory integrations and synchronization with IAM platforms to manage identities and access controls
  • Led and execute specific IAM projects
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and meet organizational standards
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for IAM-related incidents and technical issues
  • Coordinate with the security operations team to respond to security incidents involving IAM systems, such as unauthorized access attempts or account compromises
  • Implement configuration changes and updates in alignment with best practices and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate IAM systems with other applications and platforms as needed
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
  • Detailed documentation of existing configurations for Okta, Delinea, Duo, and Active Directory
  • Updated runbooks and operational procedures for IAM platform management and incident response
  • Regular status updates outlining activities performed, issues encountered, and upcoming tasks
