Overview
At Esri, we are dedicated to helping our customers see the power of ArcGIS. We invite you to utilize your experience writing and editing content to help us communicate Esri's story across our website. You'll apply style guidelines and work in a fast-paced environment leveraging our web content management system. In this role, you will work across multiple distribution channels, focusing on web writing and editing for all Esri.com pages.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write and edit high-quality content across Esri's website. Maintain high standards for quality, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability of content. Make editing decisions based on Esri style and other required references. Implement SEO best practices to increase web traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Editorial Oversight: Work with stakeholders across the company to make high-quality and timely editing decisions based on Esri style and other required references. Maintain editorial standards and ensure content is consistent with our brand voice and style guidelines.
- Research: Conduct thorough research to understand our products, services, and target audience, and translate that understanding into compelling content.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies that drive authentic, consistent and compelling messaging. Be a proactive member of the team through strong communication, driving results, and meeting deadlines.
- Innovate and Adapt: Find smart, creative ways to apply best practices while recognizing stakeholder messaging. Strategically apply AI writing tools into workflows to optimize efficiency and improve consistency across Esri.com.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in writing and editing high-impact, thought-provoking content that engages, informs and inspires target audiences
- Bachelor's in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with SEO principles, AI writing tools, and content management systems
- Must show an extremely high level of attention to detail and ability to work within complex templates and style guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong ability to understand and translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and within specifications (such as word count, target audience, voice, style)

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$66,560 - $104,000 USD
