Job Description

• Develop containerized micro services and complex web applications/solutions for enterprise architecture systems;
• Perform unit testing and investigate technical issues such as memory leaks/resource locks and propose improvements for systems integrations & stability;
• Monitor production services and respond with root cause analysis (RCA) in real time to provide flawless user experience;
• Recognize, select, and apply appropriate design patterns and frameworks according to business needs, maintainability, and delivery priorities and constraints;
• Ensuring organizational standards are adhered to for design, architecture, coding and tooling;
• Build package and deploy micro services and web applications in a highly-availability cloud;
• Lead requirement analysis, engineering and estimation/scheduling of enhancements and defect fix releases;
• Collaborate with QA engineers and different stakeholders to implement EA solutions;
• Lead design and solutioning of major initiatives, conduct code reviews and pair programming, and mentoring/supervising team output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CompSci/Information Systems, Comp/Electronic/Electrical Engg, or a related technical discipline and 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor’s exp. as Analyst/Dev/Eng. or similar role designing/developing Java-based software (will accept Master’s degree in stated fields & 3 yrs exp. designing/developing Java-based software)

TECHNICAL

• 3yrs exp: Design & implement Spring-based microservices using open source frameworks, incl. Spring boot, Spring REST, Spring Security; ReactJS & NextJS; YARN; Maven or Gradle; Docker; Design & develop apps using AWS cloud services (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SES, SNS, s3, Secrets Manager & EC2/ECS); RDBMS (MySql or PostgreSql); DynamoDB & DocumentDB;
• 2yrs exp.: CI/CD methodologies & Jenkins; JUnit, Mockito, TestNG & LambdaTest for testing of apps; code analytics w/ SonarQube & Jacoco; APM tools (New Relic or Elastic APM), log aggregation tools (SumoLogic or Elk); AWS (Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail & Athena); design software & product security, troubleshoot of memory leaks & debugging of resource deadlocks;
• 1yr exp.: performing software architecture analysis & leading POCs initiatives.

Telecommuting benefit: 1 remote flex day per week within commuting distance of the NYC office

Pay Transparency: Min $153K - Max $160K
