Training and Development Senior Specialist

Job Summary

Works on multiple course development projects in support of and in development of effective and engaging training course content. Creates engaging, effective, and interactive training materials.
Conducts analysis, designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements. Delivers training to employees directly or indirectly and mentors junior members on the team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Daily Goals:

  • Training Program Management: Leading multiple global training program launches and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Instructional Design and Development: Collaborating with stakeholders to identify training needs, proposing training solutions, developing content, and evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Training Delivery and Oversight: Delivering training or overseeing training delivered by other team members, as well as coaching and mentoring other trainers.
  • LMS and SCORM Review: Ensuring SCORM objects are properly built, configured, and tested prior to rollout.
  • Project Management: Setting and managing project goals, delegating tasks, and ensuring effective communication of program objectives.
  • Analytics and Feedback Evaluation: Reviewing feedback to improve and update curriculum as needed.

Instructional Design

  • Engages with cross functional SME and/or stakeholders to identify the learning requirements
  • Creates proposals for the best type of training needed to meet the requirements
  • Manages the training development to achieve targeted learning objectives
  • Delivers the training, or oversees the delivery of training by other team members
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the training material

Training & Training Delivery

  • Prepares and delivers training to cross functional employees
  • Coaches and mentors other trainers
  • Manages the review of SCORM objects to ensure they are properly built, configured, and tested prior to roll out of new courses/learning resources

Project Management

  • Creates and drives to the goals and objectives of the program and how it will impact the business
  • Identifies and engages with the leaders of dependent projects that need to be completed to reach the overall goal
  • Develops a strategy for implementation, delegating tasks and projects efficiently
  • Communicates program objectives

Analytics

  • Evaluates feedback and creates long-term curriculum update plans

LMS Support

  • Provides and manages enhancement requests for the LMS Functional team (HRIS)

Qualifications

  • 7+ years Learning & Development Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Instructional Design Expertise: Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (like ADDIE or SAM), and familiarity with creating engaging, effective, and interactive training materials.
  • Authoring Tools Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Captivate, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and other multimedia authoring tools
  • Training Program Management: Experience in overseeing multiple training programs, managing end-to-end program launches, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • LMS Knowledge and SCORM Compliance: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM standards, including the ability to review and manage SCORM objects.
  • Project Management: Ability to create, manage, and drive goals and objectives, as well as strategize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Skill in analyzing training feedback and identifying areas for curriculum updates.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and SMEs to understand and translate learning requirements.
