Job Summary
The Platform Observability and Tools Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions and automation tools for our platform. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our platform by monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing its performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement observability solutions to monitor the health, performance, and availability of the platform
- Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline and improve the efficiency of platform operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement monitoring and alerting strategies
- Analyze system performance data and identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform observability and automation tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in observability and automation
- Document processes, procedures, and best practices related to observability and automation
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions for large-scale platforms
- 8+ years of experience in programming skills in languages such as Python, Java
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Experience in leveraging AI/ML models to enhance efficiency in data platforms and improve monitoring capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Certification in relevant technologies
