Senior Architect - Automation Team

Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and hands-on Senior Architect to join our Architecture Automation Team within the Infrastructure Managed Services organization. This role is instrumental in designing and implementing advanced automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence across our managed services portfolio.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, extensive hands-on experience in automation architecture, and a proven ability to lead transformative projects. Exceptional fluency in English is required, as this role involves collaboration with global teams and presenting complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Automation Architecture Design

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure automation architectures for IT infrastructure services, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
  • Define best practices, standards, and guidelines for automation architecture and frameworks
  • Develop reusable automation modules, templates, and frameworks to standardize processes across services

Solution Development and Innovation

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify areas for automation, evaluate tools, and implement cutting-edge solutions
  • Incorporate AI/ML capabilities into automation workflows to enhance efficiency and predictive capabilities
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and drive innovation to maintain competitive advantages

Hands-On Implementation

  • Actively participate in building, testing, and deploying automation solutions
  • Develop detailed architectural diagrams, workflows, and documentation for automation solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex architectural and operational challenges

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including service delivery, product management, and operations, to align automation initiatives with business objectives
  • Act as a technical mentor, providing guidance and knowledge sharing to junior architects and team members
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and demonstrate the value of automation solutions

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure all automation architectures adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Establish metrics to evaluate automation performance, reliability, and return on investment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural role focusing on automation
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale automation frameworks in managed services or enterprise IT environments
  • Demonstrable experience in hands-on architecture, including the successful delivery of automation initiatives

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in automation tools and platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, ServiceNow, UiPath, or equivalent
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and integrations to enable seamless automation
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their application in automation is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Must be very fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable solutions
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset, with experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Certifications in automation tools, cloud platforms, or architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, AWS/Azure certifications) are highly desirable
