Job Summary
Equinix, a leading colocation and digital services provider, is looking to add to our server Platform Operations team. Our goal is to make it easier for online innovators to succeed with infrastructure as they open the boundaries of performance and value for their users. We do that by removing complexity wherever we can: elegant software, simple pricing, and forward-looking solutions.
This role can be remote or hybrid, depending on the candidate's location.
Responsibilities
Our ideal hire is motivated by what we're doing as a company, and eager to contribute by resolving issues, executing maintenance, and engaging with our internal teams to advance an awesome experience for our users.
- Be an active contributor to supporting customer critical issues, triaging, solving, and escalating to partner business units (network, engineering)
- Be on rotation for incident resolution
- Partner with Site Engineering to develop SOPs for the team
- Assist in the enrollment of new hardware onto platform
- Accept escalated customer calls to gain a better understanding of tools that might be needed
- Maintain and solve issues with custom scripting needs for our Operations team
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues with our server inventory
Qualifications
- Superb communication skills
- Enjoys helping people succeed and finding ways to make it fun and easy for our users to utilize our platform
- Inquisitive leader with strong technical skills as a sysadmin, devops, and related functions
- Ability to standardize workflow and process, create related documentation, and training materials
- Strong development background including requirements gathering, scoping, development, and operational support of tools written in Python, Ansible, and Ruby on Rails
- Solid grasp of Linux and DevOps fundamentals, and you have a passion for all things networking
- Familiar with different DevOps tools - Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.
- Knowledgeable on OSI Model, and has a basic understanding of BGP (routing protocol)
- Strong customer focus and enjoys problem solving
- Has a background in and passion for infrastructure - we're all about bare metal servers after all!

- Amenable to Rotating Schedule
- Amenable to work at Ortigas Center, Pasig
