Director, Marketing (South East Asia)
Job Summary
As Marketing Director, you will be a member of the Southeast Asia leadership team and contributing to the overall global marketing strategy. In addition, you will act as linkage between the Global & APAC Marketing organizations and the local sales team. You will be responsible for the localization and implementation of global marketing programs in Southeast Asia to generate quality leads and support the Southeast Asia business through integrated territory activation plan. This includes Customer Acquisition Programs and Customer Retention and Account Based Programs.The role will require you to coordinate various marketing functions and develop a local field marketing plan in support of global and Southeast Asia-specific programs that deliver a localized approach, working directly with the Southeast Asia CRO team and country management team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a field marketing team and provide strategic leadership in collaborating with other local marketing teams that impact field marketing activities
- Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Partner with the global Center of Excellence (CoE) to extend and bring ABM programs and demand gen campaigns to life in the region through in-person events and other Field Marketing activities, as well as collaborate with sales teams to drive engagement and revenue growth through insights.
- Customer Experience: lead the team be accountable for creating exceptional customer experiences. They organize events, seminars, and workshops to engage prospects and customers, build relationships, and showcase the value of our solutions or services
- Roll out highly targeted marketing programs for these organizations to encourage strategic engagement with Equinix. Plan and execute high-impact product/solution/service launches within the Southeast Asia geography
- Work in collaboration with the corporate demand gen functions to ensure the delivery of assets and activities for the Southeast Asia market
- Work closely with the Southeast Asia sales teams to measure and track lead performance accurately using marketing automation and CRM tools
- Optimize annual budget allocation and spending to maximize lead generation and pipeline performance across key Southeast Asia marketing initiatives. Leverage data-driven insights and continuous optimization to ensure marketing investments successfully propel the business towards overall territory objectives
Qualifications
- You have 15+ years' marketing experience with B2B technology - e.g SaaS, software, technology services, ideally with a platform marketing background
- Demonstrates a robust understanding of the Southeast Asia market, partner ecosystems and familiarity with effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies
- Proven experience in effective planning, executing and tracking lead generation activities and working closely with sales teams to drive lead conversion. Specific experience is required in the closed-loop marketing process
- Experience of managing a result-focused marketing team, including career progression planning, performance appraisals and individual employee engagement and motivation
- Excellent and effective communication skills - can clearly convey Equinix value to customers and partners, as well as inspire internal stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration
- Ability to think strategically but willingness to 'get hands dirty' as part of a team
- Solid track record in field marketing with a mix of corporate and entrepreneurial backgrounds is an advantage. Demonstrate high agility and business acumen
- Able to operate in a performance-driven organization
- Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
- Fluent in the English and other Asian languages
