9 month Fixed Term Datacentre Technician - Harbour Exchange London

Are you ready to join our team at Habour Exchange? We are currently seeking two highly motivated and skilled Data Centre Technicians to join us on a 9-month Fixed-Term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy team, where no two days are the same.

This role will involve working on a shift basis, ensuring round-the-clock support for our operations. This role has a special focus on cabling. This means you'll have the chance to develop your expertise in this area and become a go-to person for all cabling-related matters.

As a Data Centre Technician, you will be responsible for performing semi-routine tasks within our standard operating procedures. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing work order requests, installing customer equipment, handling cross-connects, testing and troubleshooting, supporting stakeholders, managing customers, assisting with projects, and completing assigned training.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and make a real impact. You will be responsible for queue management and reporting, ensuring that work orders are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. You will also be involved in installations, racking and stacking customer equipment, and following standard procedures for intra-cage infrastructure installations.

As a valued member of our team, you will also be expected to build strong partnerships with stakeholders, providing support to operations and security personnel. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing our customers, ensuring timely adherence to execution order requirements and delivering excellent customer service. You will also provide support for new deployments and alterations, assisting customers on-site.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. However, if you are passionate about data centers and have the drive to learn and grow, we encourage you to apply.
