We are seeking a Systems Architect I to enhance our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technologically advanced environment and is eager to drive projects from conception through to implementation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems architecture and a proven track record of effective team leadership. You will be instrumental in shaping the infrastructure that supports our innovative applications and services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
  • Lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into system architectures
  • Develop and maintain a catalog of deployable and documented cloud solution architectures
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
  • Provide direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings with project managers and team members
  • Review existing solutions and recommend improvements

  • Minimum of 7 years as a DevOps Engineer
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team of at least 5 employees in managerial or ownership roles
  • Participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or various projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform
  • Expertise in building CI/CD IaC pipelines using YAML in Azure DevOps Services (ADO) pipelines, including SAST validation
  • Proficiency in Git version control
  • Expertise with container tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS / EKS)
  • Experience with Container Registry (ACR/ECR) deployments
  • Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, etc.), familiar with IAM, CloudWatch
  • Ability to leverage alerts to improve incident response
  • Familiarity with at least one policy as code tool for policy management
  • Willingness to learn new AWS services to implement solutions for customers
  • Experience with at least one scripting language (PowerShell / Bash)
  • Excellent communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps Services concepts such as permissions, teams, policies, environments, service connections, agent pools, etc
  • Experience with Terraform Cloud, Ansible, HashiCorp Packer, HashiCorp Vault
  • Familiarity with Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory (Application and Service Principles)
  • Basic understanding of ServiceNow concepts
