Solution Architect I

We are looking for a Solution Architect I to join our driven team at a prestigious Wealth Management company. This role involves leading initiatives and close collaboration with various teams including Enterprise Architecture, Developer Experience, Infrastructure, and Product Delivery to enhance developer capabilities through our core programming languages focusing on innovation, research, tools, standards, reusability, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment of the current state of Python use cases at the organization
• Spearhead collaborations with Enterprise Architecture to identify and document Python's scope
• Define strategic methods for creating a secure, modern Python environment suitable for a variety of platforms, including Kubernetes, servers, and workstations for Windows and Mac
• Partner with the Security team to guarantee the secure deployment and configuration of Python environments, including permissions, system scans, and securing Python library management
• Develop, review, and update advanced standards, documentation, and wikis regarding Python
• Evaluate and recommend enhancements in the current tooling system
• Build and manage a sophisticated CI/CD pipeline tailored specifically for Python deployment
• Oversee comprehensive integration processes with DevOps tools such as Twistlock, Linting, Coverity, SonarQube, and BlackDuck
• Coordinate Python access policies related to the internet and manage the open-source approval process
• Implement a systematic intake process for managing developer requests concerning open-source modules and libraries
• Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for ongoing Python updates and version management
• Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure alignment on Python upgrades and effectively communicate updates

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in a Solution Architect role
• Proficiency in Python and comprehensive knowledge of secure environment configurations
• Extensive background in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in integrating Python with various DevOps tools including Twistlock, Linting, Coverity, SonarQube, and BlackDuck
• Experience with artifact repositories such as Artifactory
• Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to lead collaborations with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with processes concerning open-source module/library requests and approvals
• Competency in planning and implementing sophisticated version upgrades for programming languages
• Advanced understanding of permissions, system scanning, and securing library management in Python environments
• Leadership capability and flexibility to work with various teams including EA, DevTools, DevOps, and DevSecOps
• English proficiency level B2 and higher

• Proven experience in a Wealth Management or Financial Services environment
• Demonstrated experience with Python in both Windows and Mac platforms
• Background in Kubernetes or similar platforms
