Responsibilities

• Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Node.js, ensuring performance, scalability and security
• Collaborate with front-end developers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Work with DevOps to streamline workflows and automate processes
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 4+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and frameworks (e.g., Fastify, Hapi)
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, API development (REST/GraphQL) and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Proficiency in tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and GIT
• Experience in Agile environments, Test-Driven Development (TDD) and integrating front-end technologies
• Effective communication skills in Cantonese and English

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Unix scripting (Shell/Python)
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Framework
• Prior consultancy or client-facing experience
