Snowpark Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowpark Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines using Snowpark technologies. You will play a crucial role in enabling efficient data processing and contributing to our data-driven decision-making process.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using Snowpark
• Utilize Snowpark's API efficiently to process and handle large datasets
• Develop and maintain UDFs and Stored Procedures in Snowflake
• Write high-quality, scalable Python code for data engineering and analytics
• Transform data using Pandas and PySpark within Python environments
• Leverage Snowpark's DataFrame API for advanced querying and data transformations
• Optimize data workflows by converting SQL-based workflows into DataFrame operations
• Manage source code and version control using GitLab
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating Snowflake deployments
• Implement GitOps practices to manage data infrastructure as code

• 2+ years of experience in Snowpark with expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in Python with ability to write efficient and maintainable code
• Deep understanding of Snowpark's DataFrame API with experience in distributed processing
• Background in GitLab for source code management and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of UDFs and Stored Procedures in Snowflake
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployments
• Experience using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for Snowflake integrations
• Understanding of IAM, security, and access control within Snowflake environments
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns
• Experience with clustering, partitioning, and query performance tuning in Snowflake

• Experience with cost-efficient design strategies in Snowflake
• Familiarity with data engineering best practices and large-scale data workflows
• Flexibility to use various cloud platforms for integration with Snowflake environments
