Senior Automated Testing Engineer (JavaScript)

We are in search of a Senior Automated Testing Engineer specializing in JavaScript to join our expanding product development team.
This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks to enhance the continuous integration and delivery of our innovative applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience employing modern testing techniques using frameworks like Cypress and Playwright to guarantee software quality and reliability.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive test automation strategy that supports project objectives and timelines
  • Identify critical application areas that will benefit from automated testing enhancements
  • Write, execute, and maintain JavaScript automated test scripts for front-end and back-end components
  • Employ Cypress and Playwright for diverse testing needs including end-to-end, integration, and UI testing
  • Seamlessly integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the DevOps team
  • Confirm all application features meet stringent quality standards and functional requirements before deployment
  • Partner with developers and product managers to craft effective test plans tailored to project needs
  • Continuously assess and amplify test coverage and efficacy while optimizing testing operations
  • Track and manage defects utilizing bug tracking tools and provide detailed test outcomes and reports
  • Collaborate across teams to align testing activities with overall development processes
  • Communicate test progress, outcomes, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of the latest automated testing trends and tools and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption

  • 3+ years of experience in automated testing and software development, focusing on JavaScript
  • Proficiency in utilizing frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright
  • Capability to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of web technologies coupled with skills in API testing
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English (B2+ level)
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based development environments
  • Experience with performance and security testing methods
