Currently, we are looking for Senior Accountants for our Hungarian location to become part of our European Controller organization and support Country Controllers in various European locations.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Accountants in the Controllership team will be to support the assigned Controllers in the daily operational activities to ensure that the accounting records are complete and accurately representing the company's financial position in compliance with local laws and regulations and US-GAAP, as well as Corporate Policies. The Senior Accountant will focus on tasks and activities as agreed with the Country Controllers, considering priorities valid at the time. While carrying out these activities, the Senior Accountants will closely and proactively cooperate with the EPAM Global Shared Services Center (SSC) teams and external agencies and provide timely status updates on assigned tasks to the Controllers. This position will play an important role in the timely and accurate completion of local Tax and Statutory filings and related Audits.

Responsibilities
- Good understanding of Legal Entity operations in scope and related Country specifics
- Review and analyze monthly results during each closing to ensure accuracy of reported Trial Balance in coordination with the Controller
- Support the Controller in periodic Stat to US-GAAP reconciliation/bridge for internal purposes
- Assist the Controller in the Statutory Audit process
- Help coordinate the information flow between SSC teams and Statutory Auditors
- Ensure quality information is available for the Auditors that reconciles with Financial Statements
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis for Stat purposes as requested by Auditors and agreed with the Controller
- Assist the Controller in investigating particular accounting issues and provide timely feedback
- Support the Controller in activities related to integration of newly acquired companies
- Support the local operations from Controllership perspective as requested by the Controller
- Additional ad-hoc support for other finance matters/activities
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent
- Holder of an accounting qualification
- Minimum 5 years working experience in the field of accounting either at a multinational company or in Audit services (Big4)
- Statutory experience with various European markets is highly preferred
- Good understanding of IFRS or US-GAAP accounting standards
- Basic knowledge of Taxation and Transfer pricing principles
- Experience in working with Shared Services environment
- High integrity standards and reliability
- Solid understanding of partnering within Finance and other local/global colleagues
- Strong analytical and IT skills (preferable SAP, ERP, MS-Office)
- Ambitious, polished, highly articulate and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent (oral and written) communication skills in English is a must, any additional European language knowledge (e.g. German, French, Spanish etc.) is a huge plus
