Responsibilities
- Guide an engineering team in the development, operation, and enhancement of our Telephony, IVR, and internal tools
- Prioritize planning and management, dedicating minimal time to hands-on technical implementations
- Collaborate with product and design teams to understand requirements, solve business problems, establish roadmaps, and oversee development from start to finish
- Develop and maintain precise project schedules, driving tasks to successful completion
- Lead effective sprint planning sessions and daily stand-ups to ensure team meets delivery commitments and pursues continuous improvement
- Recruit, mentor, and support a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of inclusivity, ownership, and excellence
- Manage team performance, ensuring the right skills and behaviors are developed and maintained within budget guidelines
- Conduct Quality Inspections, Architecture Reviews, Design Reviews, Code Reviews, and Security Reviews to maintain high standards
- Exhibit leadership in mentoring, setting documentation standards, promoting clean coding practices, and serving as a professional role model
- Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development
- At least 1 year of experience in leadership and team management
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, with extensive knowledge of its application in building robust applications
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, utilizing various AWS tools to enhance application scalability and performance
- Skilled in React.js for developing intuitive user interfaces
- In-depth knowledge of RESTful API integration and development
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Cucumber for advanced API testing and development
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes for containerization, Git for version control, and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment
- Competence in using Kibana and Datadog for application monitoring and logging
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effective collaboration across teams
- Fluent in English with communication skills at a B2 level or higher
- Advanced certifications in Java or related fields
- Prior experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud-based solutions
- Proven track record in leading large-scale software development projects
