Lead DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The role is focused on production support for large enterprise platforms, particularly those based on Cloudera and configured with Chef. You will be responsible for supporting and monitoring a Kafka cluster with about 3,000 topics, and several applications built on the platform. Your role will also involve providing infrastructure support and ensuring effective DevOps automation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor Kafka clusters with approximately 3,000 topics
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and platform
  • Configure and manage the platform using Chef
  • Provide support for applications built on the platform
  • Automate repetitive tasks using DevOps principles
  • Optimize the system's performance through continual enhancement of infrastructure and automation
  • Regularly monitor system metrics by updating tracking dashboards
  • Cooperate with the broader team to develop optimal solutions
Requirements

  • Proven experience in a DevOps role or similar
  • Strong DevOps automation skills using tools such as Terraform, Vela or Rundeck
  • Substantial understanding of Chef, Confluent, Knox
  • Proficiency in Cloudera platform management
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios
  • Knowledge of AWS Administration, Linux Administration, and CDH Linux Admin
  • Familiarity with Logstash, Filebeat, and Axway
  • Experience with OpenSearch, Unbound, and Artifactory
  • Knowledge of network architecture

Salary range €4.4K-€6.4K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
