We are seeking a remote Lead DevOps Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team.

This role will play a central role in the development and maintenance of the CVML platform. Mastery in DevOps, with a focus on GitHub Actions, Grafana, Istio, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, and Amazon Web Services is essential to ensure the reliability and performance of our system.

If you have an intense interest in automation, mastery of contemporary DevOps tools and techniques, and enjoy tackling complex problems in a collaborative environment, this position might be perfect for you.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and management of Terraform and Terragrunt configurations for infrastructure code
  • Building and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD pipelines
  • Addressing data access permission challenges in AWS S3 and AWS IAM
  • Resolving issues in Kubeflow ML pipelines related to CPU, Memory, GPU, and Permissions
  • Utilizing Python for scripting to automate platform tasks
  • Working with the team to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the CVML platform
  • Participating in architecture and design conversations to improve the system
  • Staying up-to-date with the newest DevOps tools and methodologies for ongoing enhancement

  • Minimum of 5 years in practical DevOps roles
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem, especially AWS EKS and KubeSpray
  • Skilled in using Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure coding
  • Competence in Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability
  • Thorough understanding of Istio for service mesh including sidecars, mTLS, and ingress gateway
  • Skilled in Python for scripting and automation duties
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient knowledge of AWS services including network, LoadBalancer, and IAM
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot data access permission issues in AWS S3 and AWS IAM
  • Capability to develop and troubleshoot Kubeflow ML pipeline issues
Nice to have
  • Experience with distributed tracing tools such as Zipkin and Istio
  • Understanding of Golang, Kubeflow, and Pulumi
