Lead Backend Developer (Python, Snowflake, API)

We are in search of a Lead Backend Developer proficient in Python, Snowflake SDK, and API development.
The successful applicant will play a crucial role in constructing resilient backend services, ensuring smooth API integrations, and managing the creation of scalable systems. This position requires a forward-thinking leader capable of influencing architectural choices, coaching team members, and collaborating effectively across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Python to design and execute high-performance, reliable backend services
• Optimize and oversee database clients with the Snowflake SDK
• Establish a scalable backend abstraction layer to improve system extensibility and modularity
• Integrate API endpoints with Apigee and manage efficient data operations seamlessly
• Implement log aggregation and monitoring tools to ensure system observability
• Enhance system efficiency by optimizing API usage and data processing
• Retain scalability, modularity, and maintainability in system architecture
• Routinely conduct testing and validate backend logic linked to Snowflake
• Work in conjunction with teams to ensure backend development aligns with overall business objectives

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
• Expertise in Python and Snowflake SDK
• Proficiency in API development with experience in designing and consuming RESTful services
• Background in modular architecture focused on scalable and maintainable solutions
• Familiarity with Apigee for efficient API integration and data management
• Solid understanding of best practices in logging, monitoring, and system observability
• Independent working capability, ability to make pivotal architectural decisions, and capacity to mentor junior developers
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges
