Junior Python Developer

We are seeking a Junior Python Developer with experience in API Development and ETL/ELT to join a project for our Client, a leading specialty corporate insurer and reinsurer.
The Client will be implementing a new Pricing Platform, and the person in this position will be responsible for creating 3rd party integrations between the new Platform and the Client's already existing toolset.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop databases
  • Conduct model calculations using Python
  • Manage version control and release schedules
  • Engage in the creation of documentation and provision of training
  • Optimize performance of applications
  • Gather and analyze user feedback
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Develop and scope integration with third-party systems through custom API creation

  • At least 1 year of commercial experience in Python
  • Proficiency in API development and microservices
  • Background in SQL, specifically MS SQL
  • Familiarity with data integration platforms, including ETL/ELT tools
  • Capability to comprehend VBA scripts and transition them to Python
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Understanding of Snowflake database technology
