We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our client's flagship product, a Win32/64-based application with an integrated UI of Java and JavaScript/React components.
As our Java Developer, you will be involved in both maintaining our on-premises applications and participating in the migration of services to the Oracle Cloud. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer who has a strong background in Java and associated technologies to enhance their skills while working on critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Java-based components of our client's application
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement robust REST services
• Participate in the migration of on-premises services to the Oracle Cloud
• Work with backend databases, primarily Oracle instances
• Perform performance tuning to optimize application effectiveness
• Engage in distributed data processing utilizing technologies such as Apache Crunch, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink
• Ensure application performance by performing routine maintenance as well as updates

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer
• Proficiency in Java and Scala
• Skills in distributed data processing using Apache Crunch, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink
• Expertise in crafting REST/web services in Java
• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques and Spark streaming
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing solutions such as Vertica, Snowflake or Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse
• Understanding of Python programming
• Capability to work with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Background in working with Ruby on Rails is beneficial
