Responsibilities
- Formulate the comprehensive migration strategy from on-premises to Azure with AVS and Azure Migrate
- Manage connectivity solutions including ExpressRoute to connect with more data centers and Azure regions
- Create scalable and secure infrastructure frameworks using VMware, F5 load balancers, firewalls, storage solutions, and SQL databases within Azure
- Work with multiple teams-network, security, database, operations-to ensure smooth integration and minimal downtime
- Offer technical leadership and direction to engineering teams to synchronize their activities with project objectives
- Address technical problems, develop inventive solutions, and update architectural designs as needed
- Relay project updates, technical recommendations, and risk evaluations to stakeholders
- Track project progress and modify timelines and approaches as necessary
- Maintain adherence to best practices and compliance across the project lifespan
- Minimum of 10 years of direct hands-on expertise in software development
- Extensive expertise in datacenter-to-cloud migrations particularly with Azure and AVS
- Demonstrable skills in VMware, ExpressRoute, vMotion, and Azure Migrate
- Understanding of multi-region architectures in Azure, incorporating failover and secondary region strategies
- Proficiency in load balancing technologies (F5), firewall configurations, and SQL database deployments in Azure infrastructure
- Exceptional leadership abilities to oversee and instruct engineering teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal capacities to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preference for holders of an Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Preference for holders of VMware certifications
- Advanced proficiency in English (B2+/C1)
- Familiarity with other cloud migration tools
- Background in enhancing cloud performance and managing costs
- Understanding of advanced configurations for cloud security
