We are in search of an Azure Solution Architect II to oversee a critical migration project from an on-premises datacenter to Azure, advancing the utilization of Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and other cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate will be pivotal in architecting a multi-faceted migration strategy, ensuring robust connectivity, top-tier security measures, and sustained high system performance throughout the migration lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Lead and refine the comprehensive migration strategy from on-premises to Azure, advancing the use of AVS and Azure Migrate tools
- Architect and optimize connectivity solutions, such as ExpressRoute, and design integrative solutions across a secondary Azure region and additional data centers
- Create secure, highly scalable, and energy-efficient infrastructure frameworks, incorporating advanced VMware environments, sophisticated load balancers (F5), next-generation firewalls, versatile storage solutions, and expansive SQL databases in Azure
- Drive collaborations with broader cross-functional teams - spanning network, security, database, and operations - to guarantee coherent integration, seamless workload mobility (vMotion), and minimal disruption
- Provide elevated technical leadership, mentoring, and specialized guidance to senior engineering teams, ensuring best practices, compliance, and strict adherence to project deadlines are met
- Analyze complex technical issues meticulously, prescribe transformative solutions, and continuously tailor architectural designs to meet evolving project demands
- Articulate effectively to stakeholders, providing precise updates, advanced technical recommendations, and elaborate risk evaluations to enhance informed decision-making processes

- 10+ years of comprehensive hands-on experience in solution architecture
- 2+ years of experience as an Architect
- Deep-seated experience in strategizing and executing critical datacenter-to-cloud migrations, emphasizing Azure and AVS use
- Proficient expertise with VMware, ExpressRoute, vMotion, Azure Migrate, with a mastery of networking, security, and infrastructure intricacies
- Well-versed in complex multi-region architectures, focusing on meticulous failover strategies and crafting secondary region architectures
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively direct senior technical teams and interact with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
- Fluency in English (B2+ level)
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and VMware certifications
