Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a 2nd-line Application Support Engineer to be augmented into the Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Document, classify and prioritize Incidents and Change Requests in accordance with the severity levels
  • Diagnose and resolve Incidents or escalate resolution to the appropriate area of support (development team, platform vendor)
  • Implement small-to-mid-sized configurations in LIMS in accordance with the business requirements
  • Participate in grooming \ estimation sessions to be in the context of all functional changes
  • Ability to interpret logical and physical data models, understand relationship structures, and extend the schema as needed
  • Close collaboration with the Development team and end-users
  • Business and System analysis of medium-complexity Change Requests

  • Practical experience in writing SQL scripts of mid-level complexity
  • Understanding of REST-API and ability to use Postman or another tool to submit API requests
  • Practical experience with end users' support and general Incident flow
  • Documentation skills
  • B2+ English level proficiency
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM
  • Life Sciences domain experience (biology, plant genetics)
  • Understanding of JSON format
  • AWS on the minimal level of reading the logs and re-running lambdas
